VISIT Milwaukee Welcomes New Marketing and Communications Staff
MILWAUKEE – (October 6, 2022) VISIT Milwaukee is proud to announce we have hired Ian Thompson, Amira Ennis, and Hallie Hayes in the Marketing and Communications Department.
Thompson, Ennis, and Hayes will serve VISIT Milwaukee as Senior Communications Manager, Marketing Project Manager and Marketing Manager, respectively.
“Ian, Amira and Hallie have quickly become incredibly important contributors to our marketing and communications team,” says Josh Albrecht, VISIT Milwaukee’s vice president of marketing and communications. “A strong marketing and communications team means that we can continue to evolve Milwaukee’s brand as the city evolves, and position our community to meeting planners, sports event planners and leisure travelers as the best destination in the country for their next event or vacation.”
As Senior Communications Manager, Thompson is responsible for the management of VISIT Milwaukee’s communications strategy, media relations, community outreach and copywriting. His previous work experience includes a variety of marketing and communications roles involving crisis communication, strategy, digital marketing, copywriting, and public relations. He most recently worked as a marketing director at a residential real estate developer and management company.
Thompson graduated from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism, Advertising and Media Studies with a dual emphasis in public relations and broadcast journalism.
Ennis will play an essential role in creating and executing key projects, initiatives, and community collaborations for VISIT Milwaukee as the Marketing Project Manager. Prior to joining VM, Ennis worked as an account executive at an advertising agency and as a marketing director in a community bank.
Ennis graduated from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where she received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing. She currently attends Madison Area Technical College for an associates degree in graphic design.
In her new role, Hayes will assist the sales team in executing their marketing strategy. Hayes is responsible for the management and implementation of marketing projects that support positioning Milwaukee as a meetings, conventions, events and leisure destination. Hayes’ previous work experience includes sales, website development, and project management from ideation to execution.
Hayes graduated from Illinois State University, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Marketing Professional Sales.
