Visit Milwaukee Launches Immersive Tour of Expanded Baird Center Using Drone Technology
MILWAUKEE (January 10, 2024) — Visit Milwaukee is proud to unveil a groundbreaking drone video that offers meeting planners and industry professionals an unprecedented look at the newly expanded and modernized Baird Center, which was recently named EXHIBITOR Magazine’s best convention center for its size. Completed in May, Baird Center’s state-of-the-art $456 million project transformed Milwaukee’s premier event venue into a world-class destination for meetings and conventions.
“This drone video represents Milwaukee’s innovative spirit and our commitment to results-driven creative approaches in destination marketing,” said Josh Albrecht, chief marketing officer of Visit Milwaukee. “It’s a tool that will not only captivate but also provide valuable insight to planners considering Baird Center for their events.”
The 1.3 million total sq. ft. Baird Center includes a roster of expanded meeting spaces, advanced technological features, and new amenities tailored to create memorable experiences for event attendees. Additionally, Baird Center is committed to sustainability with features like a rainwater reuse system, high-efficiency HVAC systems, and rooftop solar panels, all contributing to successful, eco-friendly events. To ensure inclusivity and accessibility, Baird Center now offers all-gender restrooms, nursing mother rooms, and sensory rooms, further enhancing the experience for all visitors.
“This video is another example of how Milwaukee is creating unparalleled experiences for event planners,” said Sarah Maio, vice-president of Marketing and Communications for the Wisconsin Center District. “I’m excited about how it showcases this spectacular building in a way that allows current and potential clients to enjoy an immersive experience that shows the size, scale and possibilities of Baird Center.”
