UW-Green Bay Chancellor Search and Screen Committee named
MADISON, Wis.—University of Wisconsin System President Ray Cross and Board of Regents President Andrew S. Petersen have finalized a 13-member Search and Screen Committee to help identify the next chancellor of the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay.
In accordance with Regent Policy Document 6-4, the Search and Screen Committee is composed of 10 voting members, including five Regents and five individuals knowledgeable about the duties and responsibilities of the position. Three additional non-voting members represent two-year branch campuses.
Regent Petersen appointed five Regents to the Search and Screen Committee, which will be chaired by Regent Robert Atwell. President Cross, after consulting with members of UW-Green Bay’s shared governance groups and other members of the university community, appointed the five non-Regent members of the committee, including two faculty members, one staff representative, one student, and one community/alumni member. Professor Michael Draney will serve as committee vice chair.

- Craig Dickman, Managing Director, Titletown Tech (community/alumni member)
- Sgt. Cindy Estrup, Emergency Manager and Special Project Sergeant, UW-Green Bay Police Department (staff)
- Jenell Holstead, Associate Professor of Sport, Exercise, and Performance Psychology and Chair of Psychology (faculty)
- Becky Levzow, Regent
- Karen Walsh, Regent
- Gerald Whitburn, Regent
Serving as non-voting members are:
- Dana Atwood, Associate Professor of Public and Environmental Affairs, UW-Green Bay, Sheboygan Campus
- Daniel Kallgren, Associate Professor of History, UW-Green Bay, Marinette Campus
- Berel Lutsky, Professor of Art, UW-Green Bay, Manitowoc Campus
The committee will consider candidates to replace Chancellor Gary L. Miller, who announced he will step down. Sheryl L. Van Gruensven, Vice Chancellor for Business and Finance, has agreed to serve as interim chancellor effective Sept. 30. UW-Green Bay serves more than 8,000 students.
