Three Criminally Charged in Shots Fired at MPD Officers Incident

On Friday, May 8, 2020, the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office issued charges against Jason Gonzalez, Casey Estrada and Jose Hernandez for their involvement in the shots fired at MPD officers’ incident that occurred on Monday, May 4, 2020 on the 1300 block of S. 34th Street.

Jason Gonzalez was charged with one count of First Degree Reckless Endangering Safety, Use of a Dangerous Weapon and one count of Second Degree Reckless Endangering Safety, Use of a Dangerous Weapon. If found guilty, Gonzalez could be imprisoned up to 32 years and 6 months and fined up to $50,000.

Casey Estrada was charged with one count of Obstructing an Officer. If found guilty, Estrada could be imprisoned up to 9 months and fined up to $10,000.

Jose Hernandez was charged with one count of Obstructing an Officer. If found guilty, Hernandez could be imprisoned up to 9 months and fined up to $10,000.
