Support Local Businesses and Shop Center Street on Saturday

The Center Street Business Improvement District (BID) #39 will host Shop Center Street Business Appreciation Day on Saturday, August 9, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. highlighting more than 75 small businesses located along Center Street between 29th and 60th Streets.

The day will feature a range of community events including:

· Small Business Roll Call at 1 p.m. on 51st and Center, recognizing business owners for their resilience and continued investment in the corridor

· A community cleanup and youth engagement event by the Creative Corridor beginning in the morning at 32nd & Center

· A Cease Fire “Put Down the Guns” rally outside the Center Street Nail Tech Academy at 3819 W. Center St.

· An Open House at the Center Street Nail Tech Academy from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

· Career readiness youth sign-ups with Brothers Infrastructure Group (BIG INC) at 4727 W. Center St., a major investor in the corridor

· An adult business mixer at Charquise Boutique Hall (4914 W. Center St.) beginning at 5 p.m.

“We are proud to celebrate the creativity and spirit of the small businesses that continue to anchor our Center Street commercial corridor,” said Alderman Stamper. “Their contributions help build stronger neighborhoods and brighter futures for all Milwaukeeans.”

The Center Street BID has partnered with local neighborhood associations including Metcalfe Park, Sherman Park, and Amani, as well as organizations such as Visit MKE and area chambers of commerce to maximize community support for this important initiative.
