Supervisor Taylor to Co-Host Free Thanksgiving Community Event
MILWAUKEE – County Supervisor Sequanna Taylor, Dream Team United MKE and Parklawn Assembly of God will host their annual “Breaking Bread Community Thanksgiving Feast” on Thursday, November 25. The event will run from noon-3 p.m. at the corner of North 35th and Center Street.
“Our goal is to bring warm meals and winter clothing to families that need it. The pandemic is not over, and many families continue to struggle, especially during the holidays,” said Supervisor Taylor. “My favorite part of the holidays is giving back to my community. My holiday would not be complete if I wasn’t out there with my family doing something for the residents of Milwaukee.”
Supervisor Taylor and event organizers will give away free cooked traditional Thanksgiving dinners as well as coats, hats, gloves, socks, and groceries while supplies last. Last year’s event provided food to more than 200 families.
Questions about donations and the event can be directed to dreamteammke@gmail.com.
City of Milwaukee health and safety requirements will be enforced at the event.
