Supervisor Taylor asks Chairwoman Dimitrijevic to Resign
Following today’s joint press conference asking for the resignation of Chairwoman Dimitrijevic, Supervisor Taylor issued the following statement.
Milwaukee – Following today’s joint press conference asking for the resignation of Chairwoman Dimitrijevic, Supervisor Taylor issued the following statement:
“I, along with four of my colleagues, have asked Supervisor Dimitrijevic to resign from her position as Chairwoman and she has declined our invitation. Over the past few months there have been too many distractions and missteps that have taken focus away from the people’s business and it is unfortunate that the majority of the County Board feels that keeping the status quo is in the best interest of Milwaukee County.
“It is important that all elected officials speak honestly when being asked direct questions. In the case of the apparent violation of Act 10 this has not happened. The Chairwoman has not taken the proper measures to clean up the mess that has been created.
“With County Board leadership comes responsibilities and ultimately the “buck stops” at that position. I urge the Chairwoman to reconsider, do what is right and step down.”
