MILWAUKEE – Milwaukee County Supervisor Sequanna Taylor co-sponsored several key amendments to the County’s 2026 Budget that advance equity, strengthen public services, and reflect the County’s ongoing commitment to improving quality of life for all residents.

Among the measures co-sponsored by Supervisor Sequanna Taylor were items to:

  • Support Milwaukee County Transit System (MCTS) funding and governance by directing continued advocacy for state and federal resources, ensuring the long-term stability of public transportation.
  • Review the independent redistricting process ahead of the 2030 census to strengthen transparency, public trust, and taxpayer protection.
  • Invest in Milwaukee County Parks, including dedicated funding for dog parks and disc golf facilities that promote recreation and community connection.
  • Prioritize early childhood development by supporting continued investment in the Birth to Three program, which provides critical early intervention services for young children and families.

“The amendments I supported today reflect the voices we heard loud and clear at the annual public hearing. Transparent governance, strong neighborhood parks, and equitable investments in youth and families,” said Supervisor Sequanna Taylor. “Each one strengthens Milwaukee County’s ability to serve residents with integrity and compassion.”

The Amended 2026 Budget now heads to the desk of the County Executive for approval. If the County Executive issues any vetoes, the Board will convene at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 13, 2025, to consider them.
