State Senator Chris Larson Registers Fundraising Committee to Explore Running for Milwaukee County Executive
"Today’s filing allows me to explore running for Milwaukee County Executive on a deeper level and a greater capacity to listen to our neighbors."
Milwaukee, WI – Today, State Senator Chris Larson filed paperwork to transition “Friends of Chris Larson” fundraising committee to more rigorously explore running for Milwaukee County Executive.
“In my time as County Supervisor, State Senator, and Senate Democratic Leader; I’ve held hundreds of community listening sessions to hear from neighbors about their needs and priorities. The open County Executive seat has led to great conversations with neighbors about their vision for the future of our county and what the new County Executive should prioritize.”
“I’m humbled by the many neighbors and friends who have reached out and encouraged me to run. Today’s filing allows me to explore running for Milwaukee County Executive on a deeper level and a greater capacity to listen to our neighbors.”
“Our next Milwaukee County Executive will face many challenges, from budget shortfalls to aging infrastructure. We need a leader with a clear vision for the future, a track record of getting things done, and someone who will champion Milwaukee’s working families. We have a unique opportunity to shape our community for decades to come.”
“If I run, the campaign won’t be about just winning the election – it will be about building a county-wide coalition united by a long-term vision for our parks, transit, and quality of life. That starts with today’s filing.”
