State Bar of Wisconsin names Jill Creston Rothstein as next executive director

MADISON, Wis. (April 14, 2025) — The State Bar of Wisconsin’s Board of Governors has selected Jill Creston Rothstein as its next executive director. Rothstein, a seasoned bar executive and attorney, brings nearly two decades of leadership experience in bar operations, public service, and legal risk management.

She will succeed current Executive Director Larry J. Martin, who is retiring in September 2025.

Rothstein currently serves as general counsel for the South Carolina Bar and was chosen following a national search.
