Startup Milwaukee Week Announces Fourth Year of Programming
The premier showcase of resources available to entrepreneurs will return November 11 – 17th, 2019
Milwaukee, WI – Startup Milwaukee Week, the largest entrepreneurship event in Southeast Wisconsin will return for fourth year of events and programming on November 11 -17, 2019. The weeklong series of events and programming aims to increase awareness surrounding the local startup and tech ecosystem as well as inspire and equip the community to rally around the transformation taking place in the region.
Startup Milwaukee Week will feature dozens of events focused on connecting, educating, and celebrating entrepreneurs in Southeast Wisconsin. More than 50 community partner groups are leading the events and discussions that will provide training, skills, and development opportunities for participants. Key local partners for Startup Milwaukee Week include organizations such as MSOE, UWM, Jet Constellations, Malamadoe, NEWaukee, gener8tor, MWERC and Marquette University.
Startup Milwaukee Week is part of the Startup Wisconsin an effort founded in 2017 that is focused on advancing and developing Wisconsin’s tech and startup ecosystems through unique programming, collaborative partnerships, and networking. The Startup Wisconsin network consists of several cities around the state who will simultaneously participate in Startup Wisconsin Week in November some of the cities in the Startup Wisconsin network are Beloit, Green Bay, Eau Claire and Sheboygan.
Startup Milwaukee is thrilled to announce several enhancements to the Startup Milwaukee Week Experience in 2019:
- A focus on diversity and inclusion has been thoughtfully infused throughout every Startup Milwaukee Week through a partnership Jet Constellations’ Milky Way Tech Hub initiative.
- VCs from throughout the Great Lakes region will travel to Milwaukee to connect with emerging startups including firms such as Hyde Park Venture Partners and Tensility Venture Partners based in Chicago.
- Startup Milwaukee will roll-out an improved LAUNCH workshop series presented by Husch Blackwell featuring tactical advice from founders and key executives from Milwaukee’s fastest-growing startups such as Bright Cellars, Frontdesk, Penrod and Wantable.
