Solemn Oath Brewery to Open Bay View Location in 2026

Independent Midwestern brewer expanding to Milwaukee with a neighborhood-first space

MILWAUKEE, Wis. – Solemn Oath Brewery will open a new location in Milwaukee’s Bay View in 2026 at 342 E. Ward Street. Founded in 2012 in Naperville, Illinois, Solemn Oath has poured in Milwaukee for years. The Bay View taproom turns that relationship into a permanent home built for creative partnerships, regulars, friends, inclusive and unique events, and anyone who shows up for good beer and good people.

“Growing up in Wisconsin, this has always been personal,” said John Barley, founder of Solemn Oath Brewery. “We are bringing our take on the modern American beer experience to what we see as one of the beer scenes and communities in the world. We are proud to join the electric Bay View neighborhood, Milwaukee, and the Wisconsin brewers who make some of the best beer in the country.”

“Modern expression and techniques drive our program,” said Daniel Ray, Director of Brewing Operations. “The people of Milwaukee can expect world‑class beers across the board. Hop‑centric. Modern lagers. Barrel blends. And Bay View‑only runs layered in. We’re thrilled to enter this next chapter for SOB in Milwaukee.”

The Bay View location will also operate as a brewery and barrel‑aging facility, creating space for Milwaukee‑only partnerships and projects to develop on site.

Solemn Oath is not opening just another taproom. For us, a taproom is a neighborhood platform for creative collaboration that reaches beyond beer: chef and maker pop‑ups, art and music nights, and open‑to‑everyone programming that is important to us. It is also not a cold start. Milwaukee has carried our beers for years through local shops, iconic bars, and restaurants that share the brewery’s independent ethos. Those friendships built the foundation for this home.

Pop‑Up Taproom Preview

Open to the public from 4 to 9 PM on Thursday, December 18, hosted by Supermoon Beer Company at 3145 S Howell Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53207.
