Skylar Forbes Earns Spot on BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll
Sophomore forward averaged 20.5 points and 7.0 rebounds in 2-0 week for MU
NEW YORK – Marquette University women’s basketball sophomore forward Skylar Forbes earned a spot on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, the conference office announced Monday.
Forbes averaged 20.5 points and 7.0 rebounds over two games at Rutgers and was named Battle on the Banks Most Valuable Player.The Markham, Ontario native had a career-high 23 points, six rebounds, a career-high five blocks and two steals in a 59-57 win over Rutgers on Friday, Nov. 29. She followed that up with an 18 point, 8 rebound performance against Maryland Eastern Shore on Saturday, Nov. 30.
This marks consecutive weeks Forbes has been named to the conference’s weekly honor roll, her first two career weekly honors.
Marquette returns to action on Tuesday, Dec. 3 at 6:30 p.m. CT against Indiana State at the Al McGuire Center.
