Senator Agard Applauds President Biden’s Bold Action on Marijuana Reform
MADISON- Today, President Biden issued an executive order pardoning all people convicted of simple marijuana possession under federal law. Senator Melissa Agard (D-Madison) released the following statement in support of President Biden’s executive order:
“I am also encouraged that the executive order included a request to the Secretary of Health and Human Services and the Attorney General to review how marijuana is scheduled under federal law. This is an important step towards nationwide legalization of marijuana. There is clearly more work that needs to be done but these significant steps deserve to be celebrated.”
