Round Up: Gas Prices Skyrocket Around Wisconsin Following Trumps Illegal War With Iran
MADISON, Wis. — Gas prices continue to surge with no indication of relief as a result of Trump’s illegal war with Iran, which Wisconsin Republicans continue to support. Since the Trump administration launched the first illegal attack in Iran, the average price of a gallon of gas in Wisconsin has risen over 80 cents. Higher gas costs only exacerbates the affordability crisis Wisconsinites face as a result of Republicans’ tariff taxes by driving up costs for families, farmers, and small businesses that rely on fuel. Wisconsin Republicans, including Tom Tiffany, Derrick Van Orden, and Bryan Steil, back a reckless war that hurts working Wisconsinites who already struggle to afford everyday essentials due to the rising cost of living.

U.S. Rep. Mark Pocan, D-Madison, said this week that President Trump’s unnecessary involvement in Iran is hurting Wisconsinites at the pump.
“It’s very clear to me that we were never under any imminent threat; this is a war of choice by the president,” Pocan said. “The only thing the president could even take a victory lap on in his State of the Union speech is the price of gas, and now that’s gone up over 50 cents a gallon and will continue to go up because of the war.”
