River Place Lofts Completes Phase II
Second building part of downtown transformation opens.
MILWAUKEE (July 19, 2018) – River Place Lofts, a new and growing downtown community of luxury loft apartments recently completed Phase II of the project, opening the doors of “Docks Building” in April. Docks is a 39 unit, riverfront piece of Milwaukee’s history. Originally constructed in the 1870’s as part of the Pfister and Vogel Tannery, the buildings at River Place Lofts being transformed into modern, urban living spaces feature original heavy timber and Cream City brick construction with unique character pieces and breathtaking downtown views.
“We completed Phase I, the Beam House in Fall of 2015, and had already begun to look at ways to improve for Docks, Phase II. With leases being signed in Spring, and reaching 100% occupancy on the property when June rolled around, I think what we did here was successful. We constantly hear how much our tenants, their friends, and family love the preserved historical aspect of the project, and have fallen in love with the unique character each unit offers. We’re looking forward to Phase III, “The Finishing House” being completed later this Fall.”
–Peter Moede, Owner and Developer
River Place Lofts is the only gated community in the downtown area, featuring guarded security dusk to dawn, and the only apartment complex in the area to offer residents total access to a boat with the option of hiring a captain for sunset cruises, cocktail hours, and the like.
