Representative Lisa Subeck’s Statement on Committee Passage of AB 128
"Republicans are once again using women as political pawns in their quest to advance their extreme political agenda."
MADISON – State Representative Lisa Subeck (D – Madison) released the following statement today after the Assembly Committee on Health passed AB 128 which would eliminate currently provided coverage for medically necessary abortion care for public employees under their health plans.
“Republicans are once again using women as political pawns in their quest to advance their extreme political agenda. Over the last six years, Republicans have repeatedly attacked access to women’s health care, and this bill is simply the latest of their litany of attacks. AB 128 means more interference by politicians and, in this case, one’s employer into health care decisions that should be made privately by a woman and her doctor.”
