WAUKESHA – After two weeks, Rep. Jim Sensenbrenner still refuses to respond to Khary Penebaker‘s request to participate in five debates so the people of Wisconsin’s 5th Congressional District can see where their candidates stand on the issues that really matter.

“What does Rep. Jim Sensenbrenner have to hide from the people of the 5th district?” Khary for Congress spokesperson Justin Koestler said on Thursday. “Sensenbrenner has an obligation to face the people of the 5th Congressional District, detail where he stands on the important issues, and let the voters decide if he is the best choice to represent them in Congress. He can do that by accepting the five debates Khary Penebaker has proposed.”

Khary has spent his campaign learning about the challenges facing the people of the 5th Congressionally District because he wants to make a real difference in Wisconsin. He is willing to stand up for what he believes and wants to ensure the people of the 5th district know he will fight for their best interests.

“Jim Sensenbrenner has been an absentee representative and the people of the 5th Congressional District deserve better. For someone who has been in Washington D.C. for nearly four decades and has nothing to show for it, Rep. Sensenbrenner has some explaining to do to the people he is supposed to represent,” Koestler concluded.
