Rep. Mark Spreitzer Applauds Gov. Evers’s Budget Address
“Governor Evers is leading Wisconsin into a new era of bipartisanship."
Following Governor Tony Evers’s budget address this evening, State Representative Mark Spreitzer (D-Beloit) released the following statement:
“Governor Evers is leading Wisconsin into a new era of bipartisanship. I am proud to support ‘The People’s Budget’ that reflects his conversations with people across the state. It is clear that the Governor is listening to the people of Wisconsin and is putting their voice above the partisan politics that dominated the Capitol for the past 8 years.
“The people of Wisconsin have spoken. They are prioritizing funding public education, guaranteeing clean drinking water, expanding rural broadband, providing affordable healthcare, fixing our broken transportation system, and working together to tackle the challenges facing our state.
“I am hopeful that as we debate this budget, we work towards these common goals that reflect our shared Wisconsin values.“
