Rep. Anderson Statement on Gov. Evers’ 2025 Budget Address

MADISON, Wis – Tonight, Governor Tony Evers addressed a joint session of the legislature where he outlined his 2025 biennial budget. The budget now heads to the Joint Committee on Finance for markup. Representative Anderson released the following statement:

“Governor Evers’ budget stands up for working families across Wisconsin. From incentivizing local governments to not increase property taxes, doubling the state income tax exemption, lowering the cost of prescription drugs, investing in public education and in rural communities, Wisconsinites should know that Wisconsin Democrats are fighting for them.

“From historic investments in special education to increased support for child care this is a budget that looks out for our communities and families.”
