re:Craft & Relic Launches Nationwide Virtual Mobile Boutique Market
Milwaukee, WI – After the success of 2019’s Mobile Boutique Market in the Historic Third Ward, re:Craft & Relic is launching a virtual version of the market this month. Mobile boutiques, also called “fashion trucks”, refer to the growing trend of small businesses that sell out of box trucks, buses, trailers, etc. instead of having a traditional brick and mortar store. These Mobile Boutique Markets will be made up entirely of mobile boutiques, and will take advantage of the opportunities of the virtual world by including mobile boutiques from across the county.
Mobile boutiques from Wisconsin, Colorado, Iowa, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Indiana, and Canada have currently signed up, with more expressing interest in joining the event.
These virtual Mobile Boutique Markets are different from what most people have previously experienced with virtual events. re:Craft & Relic is using a platform from BoothCentral, a Milwaukee based business, that allows customers to enter the mobile boutiques virtually, talk with the owners, and shop (no downloads required). While customers shop, live programming, including interviews with the vendors, will occur through a live stream at the top of the event page. Scroll down for an example of what the event page will look like.
Dates: August 13 & August 27 (Thursdays)
Time: 7:00-9:00 PM CST
Admission: FREE

“As COVID-19 has shut events down across the country, we know our industry needs to be able to adapt. We feel as though we are on the cutting edge of what live virtual events can be with live content, vendors who are online and available for video chat, all from the same event webpage,” says Joshua Glidden, co-owner of re:Craft & Relic.
