MILWAUKEE – Marquette University senior attackman Nolan Rappis was named to the BIG EAST Conference Weekly Honor Roll for men’s lacrosse on Monday for the first time in his career.

The native of Delafield, Wisconsin posted career highs of five goals and five assists in Saturday’s 16-6 win over Detroit Mercy at Valley Fields. His 10 points set a new MU single-game record, a standard previously held by teammate Bobby O’Grady and former USILA All-American Tyler Melnyk, who each posted eight points in a single game.

Rappis scored on five of his six shots against the Titans and recorded the second game of his career with at least three scores. The former all-state player at Kettle Moraine High School entered Saturday’s game with 16 career points to his name in 20 games played.

The Golden Eagles (1-1) return to action at 11 a.m. Central time on Saturday, Feb. 15 at No. 1 Notre Dame in a game broadcast on ACCNX from the Loftus Sports Center in Notre Dame, Indiana.
