Public Market Announces Annual Harvest Festival Plans
Milwaukee, WISC – In what has become one of the most highly anticipated fall events in the Historic Third Ward neighborhood, the Milwaukee Public Market announced today plans for its annual Harvest Festival event on Saturday, October 23, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The event will take place at Riverwalk Commons, located across the street from the market at 423 N. Water Street, adjacent to the Milwaukee River.
A number of the area’s most popular food trucks will be on site, from Meat on the Street and Press Waffles to Lush Popcorn and Pedro’s. Public market businesses Margarita Paradise and Brew City Brand will also participate in the celebration by serving up fall inspired food and drink items alongside the annual apparel sale. Draft & Vessel, a seasonal outdoor vendor at the market, will be onsite with its RK’d van, a 1969 van that offers tapped beer and soda on one side and has a retro gaming arcade on the other.
Additional festivities taking place include:
- Apple Cider Pressing
- LIVE music featuring Scott’s Gypsy Jazz and Frogwater
- Pumpkin Bowling and other family friendly activities
- Pumpkin Beer Tasting – w/ Lakefront Brewery‘s Pumpkin Lager
- Schlitz Audubon will also be hosting a scavenger hunt along the Milwaukee River
Located under the I-794 freeway, the Riverwalk Commons area is a new public space amenity for the greater downtown community. Earlier this year, newly installed pickleball courts were unveiled on the south portion of the space to kick off its public activation.
The public market will be accepting donations on behalf of Milwaukee Downtown for the Downtown Milwaukee Dog Park project at this year’s Harvest Festival. For more information about the Milwaukee Public Market, please visit MilwaukeePublicMarket.org or call 414-336-1111.
