Milwaukee Public Market’s Festival of Flowers Returns on May 16
Milwaukee, Wis. – May 12, 2026 – Riverwalk Commons will once again transform into an open-air flower market on Saturday, May 16 as Milwaukee Public Market hosts the second annual Festival of Flowers, featuring local vendors, live music and free family-friendly activities.
The free event will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. directly across from the Milwaukee Public Market under the I-794 freeway. Attendees can shop flowers, plants and handmade goods from local vendors while enjoying seasonal food and beverages, live entertainment and spring-inspired experiences along the Milwaukee River.
Activities include complimentary pot painting, temporary flower tattoos, and an immersive floral art installation and photo opportunity designed by The Botanical Collective. New this year, a free gentle vinyasa yoga class inspired by the spring season will take place at 11 a.m. at Riverwalk Park, adjacent to Riverwalk Commons. Participants are encouraged to bring their own yoga mats.
Nick Maas will perform on the Riverwalk Commons stage from 11 a.m. to noon, followed by a special pop-up performance from Skylight Music Theatre and music from DJ Zanae Reed.
Among this year’s wide range of vendors are The Cozy Acre, a horse trailer transformed into a pop-up flower shop, the viral Rodeo Matcha pop-up and Brew City Botanicals. Seasonal flower-inspired drinks featuring Lotza and Tito’s Handmade Vodka will be served from the Market’s shipping container bar, with additional food, drinks and shopping offered by 19 independently owned vendors inside the Milwaukee Public Market.
“After an incredible response last year, we’re excited to bring Festival of Flowers back to Riverwalk Commons this spring,” said Paul Schwartz, executive director of Milwaukee Public Market and Business Improvement District #2. “This event reflects Milwaukee Public Market’s commitment to creating joyful community experiences while supporting local businesses, producers and artists.”
Festival of Flowers is free to attend and open to all ages. The event is part of Milwaukee Public Market’s continued expansion of free community programming at Riverwalk Commons.
Festival of Flowers is presented with support from 333 Water, Radio Milwaukee, Lotza, Tito’s Handmade Vodka and The Botanical Collective.
