Powers Realty Group Pledges $40,000 to Habitat for Humanity
Shorewood (March 2, 2020) – In 2020, Suzanne Powers and Gretchen Keating from Powers Realty Group plan to donate more than $40,000 to Habitat for Humanity in cash and home furnishings to support the nonprofit’s initiative to build 100 homes in the Midtown neighborhood.
For every home transaction that Powers and Keating close this year, the pair are making a $100 cash donation, totaling $12,000. In addition, the duo expect to direct more than $30,000 in home furnishings to Habitat ReStore.
Powers Realty Group has worked with Habitat ReStore since 2014 and has directed thousands of items from client homes to the non-profit to support Habitat for Humanity’s work of building safe and affordable homes for Milwaukeeans and their families.
As part of its concierge services, Powers Realty Group helps sellers declutter and stage their home. That oftentimes means scheduling a ReStore truck to pick up appliances, dining room tables, sofas, chairs, framed pictures and many other furnishings.
“I believe in the powerful benefits that owning a home brings to families. A home gives children and adults a safe, stable and comfortable place that’s truly their own,” says Suzanne Powers, CEO and Broker Owner of Powers Realty Group. “I’m a mom and also dedicated to making Milwaukee a better place. Finding a home for everyone is something that’s close to my heart.”
