Potawatomi Hotel & Casino Kentucky Derby Festivities Begin Tomorrow
Potawatomi is still the only place in town you can place a wager on the Derby and Friday’s prestigious Kentucky Oaks.
MILWAUKEE (May 2, 2019) – The field is set for the 145th Kentucky Derby Saturday at Churchill Downs in Louisville, but the odds-on favorite for fun in Milwaukee is Potawatomi Hotel & Casino’s annual festivities surrounding the “Run For the Roses.”
Potawatomi is still the only place in town you can place a wager on the Derby and Friday’s prestigious Kentucky Oaks.
Friday, May 3
Off-track betting room opens at 8:30 a.m. for Kentucky Oaks wagering and advance wagering on Kentucky Derby.
Saturday, May 4
- Wagering and viewing availability in three locations
- Off-track betting room opens at 8:30 a.m.
- Northern Lights Theater opens at 9:00 a.m. (Featuring 20-foot screen)
- Tribal Room opens at Noon
- Hat Contest
- 3:30 p.m. in Northern Lights Theater
- Grand prize is $300
- Kentucky Derby begins at approximately 5:50 p.m.
