Milwaukee Data Initiative(MDI) is a local cooperative founded in 2011. Also the local Code for America Brigade, we are a constellation of hackers, entrepreneurs, and citizens dedicated to improving Milwaukee through civic data. Focused on innovation, MDI advocates for open civic data to help local governments respond to the needs of their community, spotlights homegrown startups centered on open data, and coordinates with local nonprofits to host educational co-working events for individuals of all skill levels. We host quarterly idea shares, and a yearly civic hackathon. You can find more information at: http://milwaukeedata.org/
