MPS High Schools Ranked Among the Best in Wisconsin by U.S. & World Report
(MILWAUKEE)—U.S. News & World Report has ranked six Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS) high schools as among the best in Wisconsin in the publication’s annual Best High Schools list released today.
Three MPS schools rank in the top 50 across the state while three more are among the top 100. They are:
- Reagan College Preparatory High School, #12 in Wisconsin
- Golda Meir School, #26 in Wisconsin
- Carmen High School of Science and Technology–South Campus, #41 in Wisconsin
- Rufus King International High School, #54 in Wisconsin
- Hmong American Peace Academy, #77 in Wisconsin
- Milwaukee School of Languages, #79 in Wisconsin
“I am extremely proud of the educators, staff, students and families who have earned this recognition,” said MPS Superintendent Brenda Cassellius. “Milwaukee has amazing, high-performing high school options, and this list represents a small fraction of what MPS has to offer.
“While we celebrate these schools, we are clear eyed about the work ahead across our district as we prioritize academic achievement and literacy for all our students and all our schools,” she said.
