Milwaukee, Wisconsin – January 3, 2025 – The Milwaukee Public Market is thrilled to announce that the grand opening of David Alan Alan’s Smokehouse & Saloon will take place on Saturday, January 4. This newest vendor will serve its signature barbecue and comfort food in the heart of the Historic Third Ward, adding to the Market’s diverse lineup of independently owned businesses that make the Milwaukee Public Market a cherished community destination.

David Alan Alan’s Smokehouse & Saloon has earned a devoted following for their mouthwatering barbecue, blending traditional techniques with fresh, high-quality ingredients. With meats smoked in-house for deep, rich flavor, the seasonally rotating menu features a tantalizing selection of favorites, including Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich, tender Burnt Ends, succulent St. Louis Ribs, and Ultimate Mac & Cheese, alongside creative offerings like savory Smokehouse Quesadilla and bold, smoky cocktails. With an array of celiac-friendly options, this smokehouse has become a go-to destination for barbecue enthusiasts and the gluten-free community alike.

“We’re beyond excited to share our love of barbecue with the Milwaukee community,” said David O’Bryan, co-owner of David Alan Alan’s Smokehouse & Saloon. “Joining the impressive list of vendors at the Market means the world to us, and we’re ready to open our doors to welcome both new and returning customers to enjoy the food we’re so passionate about.”

Tina and David O’Bryan, the husband-and-wife duo behind the Smokehouse, combine years of hospitality expertise and culinary creativity. Tina’s background spans every aspect of restaurant management, while David’s skill with smoked meat has shaped the Smokehouse’s distinct menu. The quirky name, inspired by an inside joke from David’s past, mirrors their playful and heartfelt approach to food and hospitality.

“We’re thrilled to kick off 2025 by welcoming another small business to the Milwaukee Public Market family and the Historic Third Ward community,” said Paul Schwartz, Executive Director of the Milwaukee Public Market and Business Improvement District #2. “Dave and Tina’s creativity, passion, and dedication to quality truly shines through in everything they offer at David Alan Alan’s Smokehouse & Saloon. I’m confident our visitors will love their fresh and unique take on barbecue, along with the new energy and offerings they’ll bring to the overall market experience.”

Located at 400 N. Water St., David Alan Alan’s Smokehouse & Saloon is situated inside the Milwaukee Public Market, between Market vendors St. Paul Fish Company, Thai-namite, and West Allis Cheese & Sausage Shoppe.
