MILWAUKEE (Jan. 12, 2024) – The Milwaukee Bucks will celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on Sunday, Jan. 14, when they host the Sacramento Kings at 6 p.m. at Fiserv Forum. The Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. game is presented by We Energies.

Throughout the game, the Bucks will showcase stories of volunteerism inspired by Dr. King, including a video spotlight on Bucks guard Cameron Payne’s visit to America’s Black Holocaust Museum. Following the visit, Payne led a conversation about Black history and civil rights with students from Milwaukee Public Schools Black & Latino Male Achievement Group. He will host 25 students from the group at Sunday’s game.

A volunteer marketplace inspired by Dr. King’s legacy of community impact will be set up outside Section 201 where fans can learn more about local nonprofits and opportunities to volunteer in Milwaukee. The organizations at the marketplace will be MENTOR Greater Milwaukee; Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Milwaukee; America’s Black Holocaust Museum; African American Leadership Alliance Milwaukee; and Office of Early Childhood Initiatives for the Mighty Small Moments Initiative.

We Energies will have a display outside Section 110 to highlight the winners of its annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Speech Contest. The top three finishers from each age group will be featured and the first-place winner for the fifth and sixth grade category, Zaida Smith, will perform her speech at halftime. The Main Concourse will also feature an “I Have A Dream” wall, set up at the Kohl’s Court outside Section 120, where fans can share their dreams through the interactive experience.

Limited tickets are still available for Sunday’s game at bucks.com/single. More information about the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. game and other upcoming celebrations is available at bucks.com/impact.
