The Milky Way Tech Hub is collaborating with the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) and Milwaukee Turners to bring forth an accelerator program dedicated to reshaping the narrative of the tech landscape.

With a mission to create inclusive spaces that uplift underestimated founders, students, community members, and voters, the Milky Way Tech Hub aims to build, cultivate, and strengthen a startup community that embraces innovation.

“Our community is hungry for an opportunity like the Spring 2024 Accelerator where they can enhance their product offerings and test the viability of their ideas,” said Nadiyah Johnson, CEO of Jet Constellations and its social impact initiative, the Milky Way Tech Hub. “I’m excited that the Milky Way Tech Hub can offer this opportunity to founders. Sponsors who are interested in supporting this work are welcome to tap in!”

Sponsorship opportunities for the Spring 2024 Accelerator offer various levels of engagement, including but not limited to:

  • Virtual matchmaker events between founders and corporate partners
  • Keynote remarks on the opening and closing program days
  • Interactive workshops on essential topics like operations, finance, marketing, growth, legal, and insurance
  • Employee volunteers serving as startup mentors

“We are thrilled to have the support of organizations like the WEDC and the Milwaukee Turners for the Spring 2024 Accelerator program,” said Leia Ferrari Traner, Chief of Staff at Jet Constellations.

The Spring 2024 Accelerator promises to deliver entrepreneurship and intellectual property curriculum, mentorship from startup veterans and tech industry experts, and funding opportunities ranging from $5,000 to $25,000 awarded to participating startups.

With a focus on intellectual property and artificial intelligence, the program covers foundational business topics such as operations, marketing, and finance. By fostering social capital alongside access to funding and resources, the accelerator aims to nurture a thriving ecosystem of innovative founders and companies.
