Residents can get flu shots, enroll in health care coverage at Saturday event

Residents can receive a flu shot, learn about their health care options and sign up for the health care marketplace at a free event Saturday hosted by Alderman Willie C. Wade, the Milwaukee Health Department and Molina Healthcare.

Residents can receive a flu shot, learn about their health care options and sign up for the health care marketplace at a free event Saturday hosted by Alderman Willie C. Wade, the Milwaukee Health Department and Molina Healthcare.

Trained, bilingual staff will be onsite to answer questions participants may have about the new health care marketplace options, and to assist in the enrollment process. Attendees will be able to sit one-on-one with these staff members and enroll through the marketplace website, over the phone or with a paper application. The open enrollment period continues until March 31, 2014 for anyone seeking coverage this year.

At least 50 free flu shots will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis, and light refreshments and snacks will also be provided.

When: 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
