Mayoral Candidate David D. King Turns in Over 1900 Nomination Signatures
Milwaukee, WI: Mayoral Candidate David D. King turned in over 1900 nomination signatures today, enough to qualify for the Spring Ballot. David’s team of volunteers have worked hard to beat the January deadline and they continue to gather signatures to cement the ballot position. David’s team was 100% volunteer and the campaign didn’t use any hired people to accomplish this goal, unlike other candidates. His grassroots effort is impressive.
Despite press coverage that insinuates that Milwaukee is safer now than when Cavalier Johnson assumed the position of mayor, people are still afraid to walk the streets of their neighborhood and have concerns about stolen cars and reckless driving.
As the mayor and the common council have proposed raises of $20,000 and $10,000 respectfully for themselves, Milwaukeeans still feel the pain of high prices for groceries and other everyday living essentials. In January, the cost of living will increase even more with a boost in the sales tax to 7.9% and a hike in property taxes and street lighting, sewer, solid waste, and snow and ice fees.
The time to change the self-serving bureaucracy in Milwaukee is now and citizens need to vote in leadership that will work for the well-being of everyday people rather than themselves.
David D. King is a candidate for Mayor of Milwaukee running on a common sense platform empowering the citizens of Milwaukee to work together to actually solve the issues facing us.
“With one mind, one purpose and one goal, to make Milwaukee a safe and prosperous home for us all”
Committee to Elect David King
