MILWAUKEE – The following statement was issued in response to today’s groundbreaking of a new BP gas station on 27th and St. Paul:

Near West Side Partners, Inc. (NWSP) applauds the grand opening of the new gas station in our neighborhood at 27th and St. Paul. This new store marks only the second gas station in our Near West Side neighborhood.

Jay and Rick Walia, the investors in this new gas station, are great community partners and share our vision for an improved neighborhood. This $3M investment is another example of the great things that are happening across the Near West Side to make our neighborhood an even better place to live, work and play.
