Keith Streicher Named Director of the Veterans Upward Bound Department at UWM

Keith Streicher has been named Director of the Veterans Upward Bound department at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, the only federally funded academic veterans program in the state.
Keith brings a wealth of knowledge and experience with him. He has worked and advocated for veterans issues in both political and business arenas. Prior to his return home to Wisconsin, Keith served in the U.S. Army in South Korea and Iraq as a logistician at the managerial level. Keith also worked in Washington D.C. at both ends of Pennsylvania Avenue on Capitol Hill as a veteran’s aid to Delegate Eleanor Holmes-Norton, Military Legislative Assistant to former Congressman Beto O’Rourke, White House intern under the Obama Administration, and U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Appointee by former Secretary Robert McDonald.
As an advocate, Keith worked as an Assistant Director for the American Legion National Headquarters, the largest veterans service organization in the country, and started a small non-profit known as the Veterans Leadership Coalition. Upon his return to Wisconsin, Mr. Streicher served on Russ Feingold’s Veterans Advisory Council in 2015, Program Director for the Wisconsin Veterans Chamber of Commerce, and Business Operations Manager for Rocketship Transformation Prep.
Keith Streicher obtained his bachelor’s degree from the Catholic University of America and is a 2018 graduate of the Stanford University Graduate School of Business Executive Entrepreneurship Program for veterans. Keith sits on the board of the Rite-Hite YMCA and Chairs the Annual Giving Campaign.
