Joint town hall meeting to discuss sales tax proposal set for July 6
Common Council members Alderman Russell W. Stamper, II, Alderwoman Milele A. Coggs, Alderwoman Larresa Taylor, Alderwoman Andrea M. Pratt, Alderman Khalif J. Rainey, Alderman Mark Chambers, Jr., and Alderman Mark Borkowski will be hosting a joint town hall meeting to discuss the 2% citywide sales tax proposal on Thursday, July 6. The town hall will take place from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at the Clinton Rose Senior Center located at 3045 N. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. In addition to the Common Council members, Budget Director Nik Kovac will be in attendance to share information and answer questions.
“The sales tax proposal is a critically important issue facing our city, and it deserves a thorough and transparent community discussion. As such, we would invite all area community members to join us on July 6 to learn more and have their questions answered. Your voice is important and we hope to see you there,” said the Council members.
