Join us for a Special Event

A Healing Sound bath, Rain Garden Refresh and Art in the Park

MILWAUKEE – On Thursday, July 11, 2024 the 30th Street Industrial Corridor (30IC), in partnership with the City of Milwaukee’s Office of Community Safety and Wellness (OCWS) and Neighborhood Improvement Development Corporation (NIDC) invites you to attend a special community event in the Historic Garden Homes Neighborhood. This community event will take at Garden Homes Park, located at 2600 W. Atkinson Avenue, from 10am-1pm.

First, we will begin with Healing Sound bath by Melissa Blue Muhammad, and then we will work to refresh our Rain Garden with new plants, fresh mulch and by repainting the rocks, led by renowned artist Ammar Nsoroma.

Please bring a lawn chair or a blanket with you. Refreshments will be provided.

This event is one of many being sponsored by a collaboration of partners working to improve safety in the Garden Homes Neighborhood. Led by the 30th Street Industrial Corridor Corp., Partners include: Alderwoman Pratt’s Office, Milwaukee Police Department, Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office, the Office of Community Safety and Wellness, the Garden Homes Neighborhood Association, Uniting Garden Homes, Inc., Safe and Sound, West Care and others.
