MADISON, Wis –  In September, Wisconsin Principles Inc., a dark money special interest PAC, aligned with Joan Ballweg, paid to run a false TV advertisement against Democratic candidate and political newcomer Sarah Keyeski. Spectrum Communications pulled the ad because the blatant lies of the ad violated Wisconsin law.

Now, Wisconsin Principles is up with a new, factually inaccurate attack ad against Sarah Keyeski, alleging that Keyeski supports defunding the police and allowing non-citizens to vote, among other false scare tactics meant to frighten and divide voters.

“Joan Ballweg is desperate. She’s spent more than a decade in the legislature and has nothing to show for it – other than going out of her way to personally enrich herself and doing everything she can to roll back women’s reproductive freedoms,” said Andrew Whitley, Executive Director of the Wisconsin State Senate Democratic Committee. “Now she and her allies are resorting to outright lies to scare voters into supporting her. It’s clear that career politician Senator Ballweg knows she cannot run and win on her failed legislative record.”
