James Friedman Elected to Cristo Rey Jesuit Milwaukee High School Board of Directors

MILWAUKEE, Wis. (August 6, 2015) — The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP today announced that Milwaukee partner James D. Friedman has been elected to the Board of Directors for Cristo Rey Jesuit Milwaukee High School. There are 30 Cristo Rey schools nationwide serving 9,800 students. The Milwaukee Cristo Rey facility welcomes its first class this fall.
“I’m honored to serve on the board,” said Friedman. “Cristo Rey has a very unique and innovative approach to high school education for economically deprived children.”
Friedman is a member of this firm’s Business Law Practice Group. He has provided legal counsel to clients in very challenging legal, financial and business matters for more than 40 years. He handles countless legal matters including business litigation, securities offerings, mergers and acquisitions, banking regulation and corporate governance. He also serves as a director on a number of other boards, including the Board of Directors, and the Executive and Audit Committees, of the Wisconsin Association of Manufacturers and Commerce.
He received his law degree from the University of Notre Dame and his bachelor’s degree from Marquette University.
