Help Fight Hunger Through WISN 12’s ‘Food for Families’ Holiday Food Drive
WISN 12 and Hunger Task Force host the annual event to provide healthy food for local families in need
MILWAUKEE, WI (November 25, 2024) – For the 13th consecutive year, WISN 12 is partnering with Hunger Task Force on the ‘Food For Families’ food drive. The annual fundraising effort will raise money, online and through a phone bank, to provide healthy food for hungry families in our area.
“Your generosity amounts to more than just a monetary donation,” says Jan Wade, president and general manager of WISN 12. It’s an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of families in need, by ensuring their tables aren’t empty this holiday season.”
Last month, Hunger Task Force served nearly 60,000 people through their network of food pantries and meal sites. Donations through the ‘Food For Families’ campaign amount to a tangible impact on families who are struggling, with a $15 donation equating to a ham or turkey and a $150 donation providing a full holiday dinner.
“The need in our community is growing,” adds Wade. “Please join us by giving over this holiday season and make a real difference in people’s lives.”
