MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The Marquette University women’s volleyball team (14-9, 8-5 BIG EAST) swept St. John’s (8-18, 4-9 BIG EAST) Friday evening at the Al McGuire Center.

Natalie Ring led Marquette with 13 kills and added two blocks and an ace in a strong all-around effort. Hattie Bray followed with seven kills on .636 hitting and a team-high six blocks, also reaching the 1,000-career kills mark, while Elena Radeff added six kills and hit .333. Setter Isabela Haggard guided the offense with 26 assists, eight digs, and four kills, and Adriana Studer paced the back row with 16 digs and four service aces. As a team, the Golden Eagles hit .265 with 10 total blocks and seven aces in the sweep.

The Golden Eagles built an early lead with strong blocking from Bray and Haggard and maintained control despite a late push from St. John’s. Emma Parks delivered a key kill to reach set point, and Haggard finished it off to give Marquette the 1-0 match lead, with a 25-21 set one victory.

Marquette dominated the second set with a fast start and strong all-around play. Ring and Radeff fueled an early 6-2 run, while Haggard directed the offense and added timely kills. Mari King sparked momentum from the service line, including an ace during a key stretch that pushed the lead to double digits. A St. John’s service error closed out the frame as Marquette took a 2-0 match lead with a 25-15 set two win.

MU jumped out to a quick 5-0 lead behind three straight aces from Studer. The Golden Eagles controlled the pace throughout, with strong offense from Ring, Bray, and Radeff, while Keira Schmidt contributed at the net on both sides. Haggard continued to steer the attack efficiently, and Schmidt’s final kill closed out the match as Marquette secured the 3-0 victory, with a 25-17 third set win.
