The Fire and Police Commission has scheduled a public meeting in the 6th District tomorrow (Tuesday, September 29) to receive public testimony regarding the implementation and use of body worn cameras by Milwaukee police officers.

Alderwoman Milele A. Coggs said the meeting will be at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the Hillside Family Resource Center, 1452 N. 7th St. Proposed MPD Standard Operating Procedure 747 – pertaining to the body worn cameras – will also be on the Commission agenda at Tuesday’s public meeting.

“Public input about the use of body worn cameras by officers is critical, especially as procedures are being examined that will dictate how and under what circumstances the cameras are used,” Alderwoman Coggs said.

“I urge citizens to make plans to attend tomorrow evening’s meeting at Hillside,” she said.
