First Independent Nonprofit Abortion Clinic to Open in Milwaukee June 10
Community-based approach to abortion access and care will benefit all Wisconsin
MILWAUKEE – Care for All Community Clinic, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to facilitate greater access to abortion care in Wisconsin, will open for scheduling on Monday, June 2, 2025 and begin serving clients on June 10, 2025. Care for All will fill a critical gap in quality abortion care and other reproductive and sexual health services in Wisconsin by serving people of all needs and backgrounds, regardless of ability to pay.
“We are inspired by the outpouring of support Care for All has already received as we prepare to serve Milwaukee and Wisconsin,” said Ali Kliegman, Executive Director. “Public support for abortion access remains consistently high throughout our nation. Wisconsin residents deserve easy and timely access to abortion and other sexual and reproductive health care services.”
Care for All stands out by being the only nonprofit independent clinic offering abortion care in Wisconsin. It is founded and operated by individuals who are local to Milwaukee and embedded in the community and its health care systems. Care for All’s goal is to nurture a health care practice, board of directors, and network of volunteers, supporters, and partner organizations who share this commitment to the community and reflect its diversity.
Located in the Concordia neighborhood of Milwaukee, Care for All is highly accessible both to Milwaukee residents and people traveling from other parts of Wisconsin. The clinic is located close to I-94, Amtrak, and Milwaukee County bus routes. Care for All’s location provides free on-site private parking for clients in order to reduce potential interactions with protestors.
Care for All will offer abortion care up to the state limit of 21 weeks and 6 days, including medication abortions up to 11 weeks and 6 days. For approximately the first three months after opening, Care for All will offer abortion care up to 14 weeks and 0 days and then increase the gestation over the next three months. Additional services will include miscarriage management, birth control prescriptions, and IUD and Nexplanon insertions, as well as warm handoffs to pregnancy continuation and family care services. Future services will include cancer screenings, STI testing, and more. Their doctors plan to accept Medicaid for all non-abortion services.
Care for All is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that fills a critical gap in abortion care and wraparound services in Milwaukee and Wisconsin. Care for All is funded through generous support from local and national foundations and abortion funds, individual giving, and service fees.
