Ed Fallone Gains More Endorsers as Election Nears

WISCONSIN, JANUARY— Today, Ed Fallone announced that Citizen Action of Wisconsin — an issue-focused coalition of individuals and organizations committed to achieving social, economic and environmental justice — has endorsed his campaign for the Wisconsin Supreme Court. Fallone said:

“Thank you, Citizen Action. As a lifetime community advocate, a Latino, a father, an educator, and fighter for justice, I pledge to you to be a leader on our court. I will fight for equal protection for all and to end the politicization of our highest court in the State of Wisconsin. This fight is not new to me; it’s what I have spent my entire career doing.”

Ed Fallone also announced today that three candidates running for Congress in Wisconsin have endorsed his campaign for the Wisconsin Supreme Court: Angela Cunningham, a candidate for Congress in Wisconsin’s 1st Congressional District, Tom Palzewicz, who is running for Congress in the 5th Congressional District, and Tricia Zunker, a candidate for Congress in the 7th Congressional District. Fallone said:

“I am honored to have the support of three stong leaders who are fighting for change in Wisconsin. Tom Palzewicz is a Navy veteran and business owner. Angela Cunningham would make history as the first African-American and first woman ever elected to represent her congressional district. And Tricia Zunker would be Wisconsin’s first ever Native American member of Congress. All four of us are committed to fighting on behalf of the working families of Wisconsin. I am proud to have their support in my race.”

Today, Ed Fallone also announced the endorsement of State Senator Tim Carpenter, Eau Claire Alder Emily Anderson, and the endorsement of Jessica Cavazos, the President and CEO of Dane County’s Latino Chamber of Commerce.

Ed Fallone is a constitutional law scholar who has devoted over 27 years of his life to the law and ensuring that the Wisconsin legal system works for all Wisconsinites. He has taught over 2,300 Wisconsin lawyers including judges and elected officials. Ed will be the first Latino to serve on our state’s highest court and will bring expertise in corporate and criminal law to the Wisconsin Supreme Court. His mother was a Mexican immigrant and his father was a teacher, he comes from a working class family and has two children who attended Yale University and the American University School of International Service. Ed is running for Wisconsin Supreme Court to preserve the independence of the judiciary and defend our rights to equal treatment under the law and self-governance.

The primary election for the Supreme Court will be held February 18, 2020.
