(Milwaukee, Wis.) – Ebenezer Child Care Centers’ officials announced today that the non profit agency has been chosen to receive a $50,000 grant from the Greater Milwaukee Foundation’s Capital 2024 Fund. It will be used to support facility upgrades.

According to Beverly Anderson, executive director for Ebenezer Child Care Centers, “We are grateful that the foundation believes that high quality early childhood care and education is the key to giving every child the start in life they need and deserve.”

The grant money will be used to purchase a new convection oven for Ebenezer’s Downtown Milwaukee location. The new oven will allow the agency to prepare meals more efficiently, ensuring that food is cooked evenly, retains it nutritional value, and is served at optimal temperatures. Ebenezer will also be able to purchase new flooring for its Oak Creek location with the grant money. The current flooring is over 20 years old. This project will include replacing the linoleum and carpet with natural flooring materials to provide a non-toxic, hypoallergenic surface that is both durable and soft underfoot, reducing the risk of injuries while promoting a healthier indoor environment.
