David D. King Responds to the State of the City

By - Mar 5th, 2024 11:52 am

Have you ever taken a child to a toy store and have them ask and beg for every toy that catches their eye? That was the State of the City address delivered by Mayor Cavalier Johnson on Monday.

To quote the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel,

I want more investment, more jobs, and more people. I want artists, I want entrepreneurs, I want intellectuals and athletes. I want investors and dreamers, and hardworking people who want to shape their future here.”

Want, Want, Want is not how the city runs, action is what gets results, not some politician making a wish before blowing out the candles of a birthday cake.

If you want something, it means you don’t have it. And the wish list by Johnson exemplifies what Milwaukee doesn’t have – leadership that delivers.

David D. King is a candidate for Mayor of Milwaukee running on a common sense platform empowering the citizens of Milwaukee to work together to actually solve the issues facing us.

“With one mind, one purpose and one goal, to make Milwaukee a safe and prosperous home for us all”
