Dave Anderson named board chair of Greater Milwaukee Committee
BMO Commercial Bank’s lead Milwaukee executive to hold position
MILWAUKEE – David Anderson, senior vice president of BMO Commercial Bank and the organization’s lead executive in Milwaukee, has been named board chairperson of the Greater Milwaukee Committee (GMC). He will succeed Peggy Kelsey, executive vice president, general counsel, corporate secretary and compliance officer at WEC Energy Group, upon completion of her term in February.
“I am honored and excited to accept the role of the GMC’s board chair. The organization’s new strategic plan presents an opportunity to help solve many of Milwaukee’s most pressing challenges,” Anderson said. “We have already seen much progress within our four strategic pillars, and I look forward to helping catapult this momentum for the good of the GMC and Milwaukee.”
Anderson has served as a member of the GMC board since 2018. He also serves on the board of Wisconsin Manufacturing and Commerce (WMC), the WMC Foundation, and is a member of the Advisory Board for the Commercial Banking program at Marquette University. Additionally, he has served on the board of the Better Business Bureau, is a board member and past chairman of Big Brothers Big Sisters as well as being past president and a board member of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
Anderson has 34 years of banking experience, 30 of which has been with M&I/BMO. He is currently head of the Middle Market and Large Corporate Banking teams as Group Managing Director of Wisconsin. Throughout his career he has led a number of banking teams in Southeastern Wisconsin and assisted in the strategic direction for the commercial banking footprint for M&I Corporation. Prior to M&I and BMO, Anderson worked for the Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority (WHEDA) in capital markets, and at Bank One, Madison.
