County Executive David Crowley Announces 2024 Budget Town Halls

Town halls provide opportunity for public input in the upcoming budget process

By - Aug 1st, 2024 02:44 pm

MILWAUKEE – Today, County Executive David Crowley announced Milwaukee County will hold three in-person town halls on the 2025 budget. Milwaukee County budget town halls are an opportunity for residents to hear about the county vision and mission, get connected to key resources, and share their thoughts regarding the upcoming budget.

“We have a lot of work to do in the months ahead to ensure Milwaukee County is on a sustainable, fiscally responsible path forward,” said County Executive Crowley. “Town halls allow the community to learn more about Milwaukee County’s fiscal outlook and its impact on future budgets, understand the entire budget process, and express their budget priorities. They are also a fantastic way for our administration officials to learn what residents need and how we can best meet those needs. Residents should save these dates in August and make a plan to engage in the budget process this month.”

Residents can register here. The in-person town hall at Greenfield Public Library will have an option for members of the public to join virtually. In addition to budget presentations, the town halls at Washington Park Senior Center and Kosciuszko Community Center will feature resource fairs where residents can connect with County departments to access available services and inquire about employment opportunities.
