County Clerk George L. Christenson Appoints Stefan Dostanic as Deputy County Clerk

Mr. Dostanic is the current Information Coordinator with the County Clerk’s Office and has previously worked for the Milwaukee County Board of Supervisors.
“Stefan has been a tremendous asset here at the County Clerk’s Office and his wide range of skills, abilities, and strong work ethic make him a perfect candidate for this position.” Christenson said. Dostanic attended Marquette University where he graduated in 2007 with degrees in Political Science and History. As a graduate of the Les Aspin Center and the Kleczka Program, he worked in Congressman Ron Kind’s Washington DC office and Congresswoman Gwen Moore’s Milwaukee office.
“In striving to make the Milwaukee County Clerk’s Office ever more diverse, it is my privilege to appoint a first generation immigrant to this position. Stefan’s story of emigrating from his native Serbia to escape an armed conflict and succeeding here in the United States is a shining example that our country is truly the land of opportunity,” Christenson added. Mr. Dostanic is multilingual and a certified interpreter with the International Institute of Wisconsin, a welcome skill as the County Clerk’s Office serves a wide range of customer with diverse backgrounds.
