Chefs and DJs Revive Culinary Crescendo

Popular “SoundBites” Program Returns after Five-Year Absence

By - Feb 17th, 2025 04:57 pm

Milwaukee (February 13, 2025) – After a five-year hiatus that started with the COVID-19 pandemic, SoundBites is back. The popular annual celebration of Milwaukee’s culinary and music scenes returns to the Harley-Davidson Museum at 6 p.m. on Thursday, February 27.

“SoundBites is a multi-sensory experience that combines the creations from Milwaukee’s top culinary minds set to music selected by Radio Milwaukee DJs,” said Jordan Lee, interim executive director of Radio Milwaukee, which includes WYMS-FM 88.9 (known as 88Nine) and online music streaming service HYFIN.

SoundBites is Radio Milwaukee’s signature fundraising event. The station’s license is owned by the Milwaukee Public Schools but operates independently under a long-term agreement signed in 2007.

SoundBites will feature 12 tasting stations set up throughout the museum. While chefs from some of Milwaukee’s top restaurants prepare their offerings, 88Nine and HYFIN DJs will be paired with them to cook up the perfect mix of music to compliment its flavors:

Chefs will make every effort to provide options for guests with specific needs, including vegetarian, vegan, dairy-free, gluten-free, etc. The evening also will include a wine pull, a gift-card grab featuring local restaurants, a silent auction and a marquee set from DJ DRiPSweat.

Tickets for the event can be purchased on the event page. All proceeds directly benefit Radio Milwaukee’s mission to bring our communities together through music, stories, and more.

SoundBites is made possible thanks to the generous support of Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren, s.c. and von Briesen & Roper, s.c. A special thank you to Brown Forman, SoundBites Bubbly Sponsor, who will provide guests with a complimentary Jack Daniels tasting.
